For those old enough to remember, I've added a file containing Junior/Stock photos from the late 60's. Please chime in if you have any Jr/Stock memories. ................ http://members.fotki.com/Colesy/about/

Maybe Bob Rice will see this. Bob has pictures of many early cars. Seems to know just about everybody.

Wow!! Awesome stuff!! Sadly, I think some of that 'spirit' pictured there is missing from 'todays' class racing!

I was there, and can I.D. many of the cars pictured just from the paint layout. I was hoping to see a picture of our sedan delivery as many of the pictures are from my area. There were so many 55-57 Chevy's everywhere and sedan deliveries popped up all over the country. I liked Pontiacs....'57's and '58's especially. I had a '58 Pontiac as a street car and we also had a '58 Pontiac wagon for a tow car. I raced my '58 a ferw times the same day I towed our sedan delivery to the track.....won some trophy's and a few bucks. A 13 second car was pretty fast back then. 12's or faster was really a strong car no matter what it was.

Great photos. When and why were the pre 60 cars eliminated from stock? The early cars would be a blast to see compete.

Great photos. Those were great times. We were all young and single than and had plenty of time to build cars and go raceing. You had to win class than to run in the eliminator and the index was your class national record.A tenth under and you were out.Notice the 5 yellow light on the tree.Cool
