Im laying out an ignition panel inside the car and question how close these components can be located to each other and not create any potential ignition interference problems? I have my coil wire pass through mounted to the firewall with the coil mounted on a panel inside the car very close by to minimize coil wire length about 4" long inside the car and maybe 8" or so under the hood. On this same panel I'd like to mount my MSD box and 2 step. Can I mount these components on that same panel all quite close to each other without any potential ignition interference problems. I've seen 2 steps mounted directly on top of an MSD box which I'm not doing but will be directly beside and the coil within 6-8" of that. A small fuse panel for water pump and fan will also be mounted on this same aluminum panel with a large 12 volt power supply lug directly behind this panel. Am I overthinking this? Thanks in advance. Doug

I have mounted the stuff close together and the 2 Step
on top of the MSD for years. Only problem I have had is with Coil Wire and firewall. The MSD Firewall bulkhead connector mounted to firewall has fail several times and shorted (evidenced by tracks). I just grommet the hole real well now and insulate the wire.

My 2 step sits right on top of the MSD box...no issues for several years.
