Since I am no longer racing or in the carb business, I have decided to sell my personal collection of Quadrajet secondary metering rods and hangers.
The rod collection: There are 16 pairs. 11 custom machined & 5 factory: .039 to .066 in .002 increments along with DF's ( .033 ), CL's ( .066 ), & custom .070's. They come in labeled plastic boxes. $185 includes U.S. shipping. The hanger collection: This is the complete ( 20 ) hangers that were made by Rochester. All are either new or re-plated. Each one has been checked for accuracy on a hanger checker. Comes in a labeled plastic box. $85 includes U.S. shipping. Buy both for $260 and save. I also have a Computech RaceAir Pro weather station that is in excellent condition. I had it up-dated a few years ago and never used in in competition. Come with pouch. I don't have the manual but it can be downloaded from their site. $280 includes U.S, shipping. Leave voice-mail @ 765-661-2525 and I'll call you back or E-Mail at ashley74@comteck.com. Thanks for looking. |

RatS! Missed a good sale. Danny, ever turn the metering rod end down on a lathe? I need more fuel and the smallest I have now are a couple of .032 tips.

Bruce:
I used a lathe to make all my rods. The smallest I ever made for a customer was .020. He wanted long power tips which is a challenge in that size. Went through a few before I finally got a good pair. I would just about get the final sizing and the tip would break off. Guess that's what happens when you aren't a real machinist. LOL! I finally figured out how to do it without the breakage but never had to make any that small ever again. Thank the Lord. |
