If you run faster than 10.99 or quicker you need one for Stock.

For Stock...
10.99 and quicker SFI 4.1 transmission shield required. 9.99 and quicker SFI 30.1 flexplate shield required. |

While"Safety First" is a wise and well thought premonition.Here are some of the concerns from my self and other racers.
With all due respect to the NHRA rule book, and rules of Stock Eliminator ( as they may still be in affect?? ) First off, just exactly, how is one to install a trans shield on a car with a stock floorboard with no modifications to, said floorboard. BTW, I was wondering how many catastrophic trans failure have we had in stock in the last 20 years that has this new rule coming in? This is getting crazy!

Does this apply to manual transmissions also? Obviously we are running a SFI bellhousing all ready.

No just automatics. We have scatter shields already.
Man so glad I switched to a 4 speed lol ![]()
