Disappointed Reynolds is no longer hosting an event; great people, plenty of parking on grass and staging lanes are downhill....

Any clue as to why the Division 1 event at Virginia Motorsports Park was moved to October? It's been on the schedule in April since they came back to NHRA.

from what I've heard in the lanes...
many from points farther north don't want to travel to VMP at all no mind that time of year with the possibility of cold and wet weather. By moving it to the last race of the season, those not in contention can opt out. |

Woodburn had two last year and Pacific had one. Same again this year. Is this because Pacific has the National event? The LO Series is great fun but the travel to Oregon stretches my budget.

Nice to have a last chance points race in October. VMP is a good place to set records at that time of the year to boot. Almost like a mini Little Guy Nationals.

Not sure they need 4 days but last year Orlando and Gainesville were big and I would expect more in 2019. Plus I heard something about running class for Gators at the Baby Gators.

Based on my experience at both tracks I’d venture to guess it was input from racers. Suspect it’s a bit easier for the D7 folks and the Canadians don’t seem to mind traveling since it’s a haul for them no matter. But traveling north on I-5 on Sunday afternoon can be a real PITA.
