Next year bracket car project .. planning to install them on a 496 CI... What valve be useful. 2.18/1.88. Or can I fit a 2.25/188... No limited to class.... compression ???....do I used a open chamber or closed chamber piston... Thanks all for help

You will use a open chamber piston. The head will have to be clearanced back behind the exhaust valve to clear most pistons.

Years ago I ran a 468ci with 049 heads w/ 2.19" & 1.88" valves,.680 lift solid roller cam, Speed Pro 7040PA pistons, Fel Pro .039 head gaskets and 850 cfm Holley, ran strong. Camaro that was approx 3000 lbs with me on board, 3500 rpm converter, solidly mid 10's. IIRC intake was Strip Dominator oval port.
