Has anyone ever entered their daily driver or a rental car to receive a grade point? If so, please PM me.
My car won't be finished until mid summer, and don't want to miss out on any grade points. Thank You

Buy an old Cobalt and put a fuel check valve on it. I just happen to have one that will do the trick for you.

Did that with a rental FWD car, NHRA required that I have my class designation and number displayed on the car in the proper manner and size, no shoe polish.
I can tell you this, it was more fun getting on an expressway ramp than going down the quarter mile with a rental FWD that ran in the 19's to 21 range. Ron Ortiz U/SA now 25 mph at Walmart parking lot is fun.

I guess I'll be showing up with my Daily Driver 1994 LT1 Firebird for the time being.
Thanks

You will at least need a driveshaft safety loop in it, roll bar, safety harness, etc.... One of the main advantages of using a FWD street car that is in the guide is that those are not generally required.

Also, you'd have to look closely at the wheel studs if it has any type of mag wheels.

Believe some of the older Dodge Caravan models are still in the guide and you occasionally see them on the various “Rent a Wreck” places. If Bill Howell still has his that’s one you could actually race.

You get grade point by filling out the tech card. If you want points for your division points then you have to go over the scales and fuel check. One year I had a engine come apart first round of qualifying didn't go over the scales or do fuel check and got the grade point but no division points.

Easier way to get grade point, pay someone's entry, get them to list you as car owner, instant grade point!
