RIP Sam Biondo

For those who have not heard the Patriarch of Biondo Racing Products passed away in his sleep last night. Sam was a great guy and always friendly with everyone at the track or on the phone at the business. I know after he had a stroke a few years back, he wasn't at the track that much anymore but, was always a good guy to see.

A quick Sam story that involved my Dad and every time I saw Sammy he would tell me: He's at Atco for a weekly bracket race, he's qualifying and something isn't right with the car, so he loads it up and is ready to head home to NY. My dad comes over and asks Sammy whats going on, he says the cars broke, I'm going home. My dad says, let me take a look...happened to be something minor, my dad fixes it and Sammy goes on to win the race that night. I heard that story about 40 times over my lifetime everytime we went to the track and Dad went over to see Sammy.

Prayers to the Biondo families on a tough few months, Sammy will be missed!
