You want to buy Ozite super flex carpet comes in a variety of colors weighs almost nothing---stuff looks like those green scotch scrubbing pads weighs about 18 ounces per yard comes in 80 inch wide by how ever long you want---usually sells for around $18-20 per yard ---thats for 80 x 36 18-20 ----look at ---YOUR AUTO TRIM STORE check out their website---you will need about 3-4 yards depending on what size car you have and how much you are covering---fasten it down with aerosol trim adhesive to hold it in place---if you want to do a removable trans tunnel you can form it real easy and take it to an upholstery shop have them sew a real nice edge on it so it doesn't come unraveled ----FED 387

Home Depot. Around $18 a roll, approx 6' x 8', very light weight, easy to work with. Used 3M Super 27 or Super 77 for aerosol glue.

Just an FYI. A lot of pieces in a purpose built car like the trans tunnel or side door stuff can be covered in a peel and stick material. It has a carpeting look to it like the inside of a glove box, it's light as a piece of paper and it holds up really well. If it gets damaged, peel it off and replace. I see it in a lot of Comp cars.
