"Live From" Indy US Nationals The Big GO 2022

Hey guys, well we are here at the 2022 US Nationals at Indy... known as the Big go!. We got here early, I was getting service done on my motorhome in Elkhart. Service was done faster than I thought, so I headed out early to the Big Go. I was able to park in the main entrance on Saturday, there was about a dozen or so rigs already there. Some others parked outside the track on the grass strip next to the road, I would say there were about 30 rigs here on Saturday.

Hats off to NHRA for parking us on Sunday. They opened the gates today at 11am for stacking in the pro staging lanes and we are supposed to start parking at 2pm through 6pm. I'm very excited to be here, I miss the last 2 years. The weather looks great, the schedule is different from past, but its just nice to be here.

I have my media credentials and should be able to gets lots of photos along with some video. I have a video coming up as soon as we are parked. I want to show you what sportsman go through at a National Event getting parked. I know most of you know the drill, but I thought it would be cool for people that have not gone through this.

Ok guys, we are parked. We got the usual Micro Strategies spot, which is nice. I would say there are about 100 rigs here today. I was told there are 940 cars entered. Thanks Dan for the info and parking. Dan and Randy do a great job trying to make everyone happy when parking.

I few shots of the stacking area... and Mr Parker with his bad *** Camaro... he told me he is running B, it should be a class to watch, I think there are 11 entered. Still working on the video... be back later.

My hats off to Cliff Whynott and the NHRA & IRP crew. They parked cars Sunday evening till it was too dark to see anymore! What a change from past years!

Well we were at Indy yesterday after driving up from Bowling Green. But as Larry explained on Class Racer Builds, Dumbo got loose in the trailer and fell off the lift. Thanks to lots of our racing family, they got him back to where we could get him back home last night. So Larry is getting him unloaded and load up the pink car and we will be back to The Big Go this afternoon!

Looks a lot more organized then in years past, we went in 2019 the first year they added TD & TS and it was a real cluster to say the least because of rain and trying to get 900 rigs in the place over 1 1/2 days (Didn't start till Tuesday parking) so we all lost a time run on Wednesday till everyone got parked and then had 1st round Thursday Night.
