Hi Folks! Not on here much but checking in daily to see all the History developed over the years with our good friends out there!
Seeing more and more of the older generation gone that I've been involved with for years and sad to see them pass such as Gary Summers just this week..... We've lost a long string of them since 2015 plus, including my very close friends Feldman, Layer, Dupps, Vanderpool and Doane and many many more. I am happy to say that History lives on at the AACA in Hershey Pennsylvania starting Friday as they are starting a new display going through the end of April 2023 which involves Competition Race vehicles. At the entrance you will see the old "Mr. Security" Impala that Rich Feldman raced from the mid 80's until his passing. The Family donated the car and I delivered it in 2016. It will be displayed doing a wheelstand against another car with all of his class winner trophies and his 1986 Summernationals Champion Trophy on display. It is a great place to visit if you've never attended. Check it out at https://www.aacamuseum.org There is a very prominent display of the Tucker automobile displayed. I wanted to say to all my friends across the country while I can, THANKS to all for being such great friends and all the help you've given me and my Friends throughout the 54 years I have been Drag Racing. There are many things I should have done differently but wouldn't trade my experiences with all of you for the World!! I wouldn't be able to be doing the racing I'm doing now without the assistance of John Stock & Associates Wendy's in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Since relocating to Texas to be near my Children I really do miss seeing all of you back East..... Take care and may all of us live a Happy Life for our remaining years!! ![]() |

Agreed, it's a great museum. The Tucker room is awesome and all those old buses.

I am a recently relocated "West Coaster" (Canadian Division), and met Richard Feldman and his blue 66 SS/O Impala at Gainsville at the 94 Gatornationals. I had only seen the car earlier in National Dragster, and was surprised at what a nice, clean, and detailed car his Impala was when I was able to see it up close. Very nice guy as well, told me that he had a 66 with a 427 4 speed in it back home. As for the Hershey Museum, I have been there twice in the past 5 years, very worthwhile both times. Last went the day before the Maple Grove National event started running. Also went to the Classic Auto Mall in Morgantown PA, 800-1000 antique, classic, Muscle Cars, etc, all inside an ex shopping mall . Amazing.
Love Central PA, 5 dragstrips within 2 hours! Even got to meet some of the local legendary drag racers.

Rick, thanks for taking the time to share the information about the "AACA". I'm going to make it a point to get over there to see "Mr Security" ! Thanks for helping me with my Comp car ! You are a true friend.

AACA is great to deal with. Had Dad's 72 Pro Stock Demon on display last year into this year. We just dropped off the 68 Dart to be displayed for the next 5 months. It's a stop everyone should make if you're a car person. Always changing and so much cool stuff.

The AACA also has a "Documented Race car" class at all of their shows. I made 3 shows this year with my late Brother's Stock Eliminator 1975 Dodge that was raced from 1975 to 1987. I recieved my First Junior, Senior, and my Preservation award recently at the Hershey show. There has only been 3 Drag Race cars shown this year. It would be great to see other old drag race cars shown at some of these shows in the future. Along with the shows I have been racing the car some in a Nostalgia Series at Cecil County and with a motor built in the 90's I've mananged to go -50 under the current index

There is a picture of your car at Hershey in this month's AACA magazine.

Thanks for starting the thread Rick, I wasn’t aware of the museum but can see it’s earned a place on my “must go” list. The “Finish Line” exhibit runs through 4/23/2023.
https://www.aacamuseum.org/exhibit/r...e-finish-line/ For fellow RV’ers who belong to the Harvest Host group the museum is a HH stop, which means you can park overnight on their premises for free. Mostly a boondocking deal but my wife and I have stayed overnight in many HH places across the US and Canada and have never been disappointed, it’s well worth the cost to join.

Sounds like the museum would be a great stop when racers are in Hershey for the Division 1 banquet
