Default 3 Speeds

Is the 3 Speed rule final or still under review?

Angry Re: 3 Speeds

Rich, They're checking the person who suggested this idea for "Brain Cells" or "Mad Cow" or some sort of "Mental Defect" If they fail to find something and this goes through I'm putting a 5 Speed in my car, When they try to toss me for it "My First Call" will be to my Attorney.

Let me rephrase the question....................
How many PG racers are racing out to get the 3 speed in for the Winternationals?

What's the problem with this rule?? It is WAY overdue in both eliminators, not from a purist standpoint but as a means by which to level the playing field. Aside from the fact that some glides will be hard to sell based on the original cost (welcome to the world of used race car parts) I see no downside; the rule does not prohibit their use, just allows for equality if you so desire; maybe I'm just stupid. By the way Dusty, is that not a Mopar in your profile picture? Why would you love Glides? If the rules allowed (and they should), I'd have a 904 in my car tomorrow. Rich, jump up off that wallet; think of how fast your car will be!

..and when they are combined in the near future they will allow cars that never came with automatics that too and vice versa..almost all changes that happens nowdays is stupid...but who cares anymore?some say there are nothing stock about stock anymore and keep applauding the changes...hmm i wonder how it started..

When and how did it start? The first dilution of Stock Eliminator that I recall came when they relaxed the requirement that you had to drive the car to the track. When the tow-bar tabs appeared, the slide downhill had already begun. Not long after that, headers were allowed! What's stock about headers?

Evolution can be an unnerving experience, especially when you stick around long enough to see it in action.

Cheers and Happy Holidays, P.A.

Cool Re: 3 Speeds

Please answer the following:

What's the point of allowing 3 speeds? Faster.......How much faster?

Is it fair to say...........if the NHRA rated HP was correct and the AHFS was working correctly would I need to have a 3 speed to in my car?

I guess you guys didn't read the new Dragster fine print....combos choosing to run a 2 speeds are allowed to remove 150lbs... LOL
