Default CSR transmission shield question

Fellow racers I need some help. I'm considering buying a used CSR trans. shield. I tried calling them for re-cert information but got a strange outgoing message. Are they out of business? Can another company certify their shields? Thank you.

I ordered and paid for a shield March 1, 2023. Never received the shield and no $ returned. Once in a while they answer the phone and promise it will be shipped the next week. Horrible company!!

This saga has been ongoing for years now. Seems odd that they still have a functioning phone number.

Last I heard they were still recertifying their shields and turning them around pretty quickly. It was a couple of years ago but I had one done in a week.

Considering the shield is of little value now, I would just send it to them and request recertification. They will call you for a credit card number. If they don't do the work you can probably get your money back from your credit card company.

Be aware if it has the smallest area cut out they will not do the re-cert. They will also probably charge you for new bolts but I would send the old ones in with it anyway. All hardware must be sent in with the shield.

These email addresses worked at one time, no idea if they are still good now:

laura@csr-performance.com
jill@csr-performance.com
christine@csr-performance.com

I sure wish someone would buy the company and get them back on track, their shield is really the only one that will work on my car.

Good luck,
Bill

Bought a good used one in 2023 and sent it to them. They did recertify the shield, although nobody had cut into it. They will accept some trimming, but not too much. They will sell you new hardware. Their FedEx shipping is best. Last phone numbers I had in 2023 were 386-776-1476, 800-226-1274.Good Luck!

Buy a blanket and forget the drama.

Ordered and paid for two shields in Feb 2024. Haven't seen them yet. Gave up calling them. Was hounding them every week and got some interesting excuses along the way.

Just a bunch of lying frauds. Save your money and find another solution

I bought a new shield from A&A Transmisions 317-831-3066, they maybe able to help. The other idea maybe a long shot but Cope Transmissions is working with FTI on a Certified Case for a 727.

I just got one for a 904 from McKinney Corp who has taken over the TWRCP product line. In stock and immediate shipment.

Agree with not dealing with that drama, Not to mention that depending on the car, and trans, that shield is a major pita to get to the bellhousing bolts.
I had to borrow a trans once that had that shield. I had to go to confession on Sunday after all the obscenities I spewed installing and then later removing the trans.
If youre building a car to keep around for a while, I highly recommend just spending some cash up front and getting the ati supercase and superbell. Assuming this is a th350?.
