Apparently Alan and whoever is running the IHRA have decided to part ways, as of last week. IHRA seems to be more drama than action right now.
Could this exit by Alan, lead to a possible reunion with NHRA? I know how a majority of us racers have missed him, and would welcome him back in a heartbeat. No need for a poll....make it happen NHRA!

It certainty would be nice have The Real Voice of the NHRA back. These other guys Joe Castello and Jason Galvin are trying but they are not Alan for sure. If the NHRA was smart which they are pretty stupid would pay Alan Reinhart whatever salary he wants get back behind the mic. Get RID OF Jason Logan ASAFP!!!

I just simply hope that Alan?s next opportunity is one that he wants, as the Nhra gig he had was brutal hours and a constant divide between the powers that be, the pro and tv schedule, and trying to verbally explain everything to the sportsman why we are again racing into the night to finish a program. As far as Alan?s knowledge of our sport, I would also hope he could get a deal worked out with any reputable sanctioning body as their program would be better for it.

Alan would be great working for alternate organizations and events, like Lohnes.
A little more freewheeling and less corporate. Turn him loose. And/or return to doing points races. I enjoyed him at those. |
