"Live From" PC Richard National Open Atco
Hello everyone,
Its a warm day here at Atco Dragway, and setting records maybe a little tough. Temps will be in the low 90's today. At D1 Opens we can set records on Thursday. We should have a good turn out, weather will be much nicer as the week goes on. Be back later with more photos.... |

Its 92 right now, and testing has been light. The track is not bad, even with bright sun beating down on the track. Here are some more photos, I have a few videos also, I will post them later.

Paul Guenther's 2004 Cobra. Its a 428 Fuel Injected combo the runs FGT/F. It is a super clean car. Paul has been working on it for a few years, its nice to see new blood in the sport.

Good morning all, its going to be another hot day with temps in the low 90's. It's already 75 at 6:20, Here is Jim Boudreau testing yesterday, not sure but I think he was at B weight.

It's been a great day of racing, even with the high heat. Temps are in the low 90's with a DA of 3400ft. The track is in great shape, even with the sun beating down on it all day. Stock and Super Stock had a good turnout, but the super classes are down in numbers. Anyone on the fence about going to Atco should come on down. Tomorrows weather forecast is great. Temps will be in the low 70's and no chance for rain Saturday and Sunday. You can get two hits tomorrow, with eliminations on Sunday.

Sorry folks, I had some race car issues and did not have time to report today. Qualifying is up from yesterday, but most were anywere from 12 hundreds to two tenths quicker. It was fast today, about 500ft above for the DA. Carl Tasca went a 8.30 at 171.40. I think that is the fast mph ever for a Stocker. He probably could have been in the sevens, but the track could not hold his power, he had to back way off on timing.
I have a few shots and some video I will post later. I will also try to find a q sheet for Stk/SS. |
