I found this article in a January 1977 SUPER STOCK magazine.........


Founded in 1951 the NHRA is the largest and most prestigious of the major sanctioning bodies. NHRA events,whether on a regional or national level,are typically the largest and the most efficently run. However,of late,MANY RACERS are becoming disenchanted with Wally Parks and company. While the cost of racing increases,PRIZE MONEY REMAINS the SAME or has been DECREASED! I dont need to type the rest of the article. This is the first paragraph....
