Talking Delay Boxes

They suggested in the .90 forum, that we asked how the super stock guys felt about delay boxes, cause the .90 classes were a "waste of time". Have at it!

I don't believe it is the delay box it is the throtle stop that hurts the appeal in .90 classes. In my opinion.

I like the variety of cars that compete in the 9.90 class. I think it is a good mix of roadsters and door cars. Other than that, I don't really care for the throttle stops either.

Get rid of the throttle stops and the appeal of the class by the spectators will grow.

guys my family have ran the Pro Gas/Super Gas cars since day one, the throttle stop isnt the problem, its the timers, back when the throttle stops first came out they didnt shut down until both drivers went into high gear, which in case the fans seen side by side leaves and really didnt notice the throttle stops going into effect.
Bottom line, timers have killed the super classes, if it wasnt for my parents running the class i wouldnt be watching it to much. (and i use to race both SG & SC myself)

It's really a dead issue cause NHRA or IHRA will never change the rules, so.................

Back to the delay box question, well here we go again, how much electronics are we going to let SS & Stock use to kill both those eliminators.
Go back to foot break racing in both, lol.

Jim,

Are we racing in Gainesville that weekend? Will we still run at Palm Beach in December?

Thanks,
