Anyone have any experience with having a car hauler bed put on their 1-ton? Hodges in Kentucky seems to be all I can find, but I live in the northeast and can't see driving that far unless they are the only game in town.
Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Eric Merryfield

Eric -- Over the years I must have bought more than twenty from him -- he will deliver if asked -- tell him I said hey..........And he is the best at building them .

Eric, I have to agree with Jack as I have owned 2 beds by Hodge and known many guys with them as well. They hold up great and are very well constructed. With a Hodge bed you won't go wrong. ( in my opinion)

I don't know why you would consider any other one.
I purchased two from him over the years and couldn';t be happier with either. You can't beat the price. I made the trip all the way from South Florida to get each of them done and he even provided me with a loaner car while I was there at no extra cost. Did the entire job in just one day.

I decided not to have a hodges bed put on my 360 powered 50K 93 D350 3 years ago when I purchased my 70 Challenger....and keep it as a 14ft stakebody with 1600lb liftgate instead(the ultimate parts moving truck).... and opted for a 96 f450 powerstroke rollback with a 19ft kilar aluminum bed with a wheellift instead. Expensive to maintain, real fun to drive, but my lord does it inspire drivers to cut me off! I thought towing an enclosed trailer brought out the worst in drivers, try the light/medium duty loaded rollback..... Tow truck drivers have it tough, have earned my lifelong respect. Thanks Eric Merryfield
