Racers,
let me here about an automatic shifter that will fit in the factory console or a 3rd Generation Camaro/Firebird. Thanks Larry Woodfin

I have a B & M Pro Stick mounted in mine with a no cover of course with a SHIF NOIDE mounted behind the shifter. The Pro Stick is almost identical to the 1/4 stick. So mounting will be the same. You will have to make a lower bracket to mount the 1/4 stick shifter body on top of the trans tunnel sheet metal. This all will fit in the center console. I maid my own top cover out of aluminum, painted it with the SEM plastic satin black paint. I also had to make a extension for the reverse lever. Its doable if you all ready have a 1/4 stick. Its easier that it sounds to mount it. Mock it up first and you will see what it takes. Send me a e-mail rmiller249@comcast.net. I can take a picture of my set up for you and send it back.

I have seen a lot of guys fit a quarter stick in the factory console in 3rd Gens. Here are 2 pictures of one in our 4th Gen.

I have a question that is somewhat related:
How and where are most racers locating their neutral safety switch for trouble-free performance with a Quarter Stick?? Thanks. JC |

Both the Turbo Action SCS and Hurst Quarter stick will work with the 3rd gen console. Minor mods to the automatic bezel finish it nicely.

The gauge is a water temp gauge. I use the NSS that came with the shifter. It is located within the assembly. Has been flawless for us!
