We had a great show at the Nutter center in Dayton over the week end. All Pontiac only. The Royal 60 car was there and several others Many GTOs and venders Kind of Like Super Chevy but no racing. Good to see the old Bubble top 61s and several 62 or 3s with the ALuminum wheels totally restored. Saw a guy with a Carb booth. He had 10 or so complete 3x2 manifolds with carbs and lines. Old Tempest and Beswick type cars there also. Keep an eye out for this one next time. It is a new organization as I understand. Last letters GTO.. Saw a 57 injected Bonneville convertible restored Beautiful job...

Don't know where you were but the race was held on Friday at Kil Kare.
Numbers -over 2700 registered participants -125 Vendors -1090 showcars -150 racecars -1000 spectators at race Also...it is not an new organization. For the first time ever the POCI (Pontiac Oakland Club International) and the GTOAA (GTO Association of America) held a co-convention. At the time there is not another co-convention scheduled but there is a lot of interest and some discussions going on.... hopefully it will happen. In 2010 the GTOAA Convention will be in Wichita, KS. and the POCI Convention will be in Charleston, West Virginia. Last edited by 7820; 07-13-2009 at 02:15 PM. |

Thanks, I didnt get the info on the co convention till Friday from a neighbor. I missed the racing but otherwise a GREAT show. These type show/meet/conventions are outstanding for seeing good cars and equipment. Thanks again.
1000 spectators hmmmm dont tell NHRA spectators like these cars they would screw it up... |
