My friend, Hugh Greeson, shot this 8 mm video in 1968 at the Southeastern Dragway track in Dallas, Georgia. There's some "big" name Southern racers on here. No sound, but the video is pretty good.

Used to race there in the mid to late '80's, a nice little track.....is it still open?

Exactly , it was closed in 04, I think. It still looked like that, in 04 too ! The place was almost timeless. I miss racing there alot. It looked like they were racing 1/4 mile there at the time of the filming. It was later shortened to 1000 ft ,and finally 1/8 mile, as there really was'nt enough room to slow down, if you had any problems.
