Tasca ford cobra jet

A good friend witnessed the Tasca Ford Cobra Jet with a stick run 9.2 ET 147 MPH at new england raceway at Epping,NH. this past wednesday test and tune.

Changed to a smaller pulley--thats all

I sure hope he has a roll cage in it, because they are not giving anymore breaks to under 10.00 you need a cage ..... Those are some stout cars, I think they could go in the 8's at some time soon.... You figure the SS/DA record was just set at 9.17 @ 147 mph ....

Is that the new "MYSTERY 8 " ??
I saw the original MYSTERY 8 at Connecticut Raceway in 1966....Bill Lawton at the wheel !

Maybe a de-tune?? I saw the Tasca CJ go 8.90 at least 3 passes back in August at Epping...Bob Tasca himself was there that day....WJ
