How about when there is a class race NHRA turns off the ET clocks, Just use the starting beams and the finish line. No AFHS no reason to dump at 1000 foot.
And How about during eliminations take out the 1000 clocks leave them in for time shots only.

Anything else goes, gas only, good reasonable min weight. ...but your car in some events can be claimed for 5k...whole car....in others you are racing heads up for cars, in an elimination bracket...I may win 3 cars but loose my own...get it ? Kinda have to be a Gambler...but Id build one in a minute.....Mustangs not because I like them, but they are disposable, just like firebirds or camaro's and parts are plenty and cheap. 2500 for chassis tires and safety. It's called "Pinks All Out" and the crowds are huge. They have another segment called "floating tree" and the racer doesn't know what ET he's shooting for. Run to slow and you don't make the program.

You know what Art, you may actually be on to something. I think that it might be cool if they did that for class eliminations.
