Default Tire Recommendation

Guys,

I know this has been discussed before on this site but can anyone chime in on a decent load range E tire for my ramp truck (C-30 / 235-85R-16)? Not driving across the country, just 30-40 mile trips. Michelins would be nice but I would prefer to NOT have to sell the kids to buy some tires. I know to stay away from the Chinese junk tires.

Thanks

Todd ,I started using Hankook tires a few years ago on the recommendation af a friend who outfits several Nascar souviner trailers. .....I've had them on my trailer for about 40k miles with no problems ........I also sell them at the repair shop. very popular and no problems . .....The tire you would want in your size is a Hankook Dynapro AS RH03.
Load rate E ,120Q speed/load rating.......Very good tire for the money, we'd retail it for around $129.00 cash and carry.
They are made in Korea, but are extremley high quality, not like the Chinese crap.
Should be a dealer in your area................Tom

Have to agree with Tom. DynaPro was the OE tire on my '06 F-150 4x4. Finally replaced them at 88,000 miles. When we first bought the truck I thought I'd have to swap them out at 30k LOL. I had never heard of them and thought they were chinese crap.

We liked them so well that I went out of my way to replace them with the same tire, which I did and they're on there now. Great tire!!

Todd try this link to local dealers ,..http://www.hankooktireusa.com/Serv/F...Num=1.....Cost on that tire is around $110 , you should be able to find someone willing to make a deal . .Make sure you specify the RH 03 Dynapro.

Hey Todd,

I worked at NTB for a number of years. Michelins are the way to go if you are keeping it for a LONG time. They come with a 6 year warranty and Michelin will work with you if there are ever any problems. I still have my rep there at michelin also.

The next best Option is the BFG Commercial T/A. Also a Michelin product.
