I have an opportunity to purchase a 1968 intake casting number #3905393 . Is this a good choice out of the allowable intakes for the 350-290hp combo?
Thank you in advance!

The 393 intake is a a 67 327/275 horse unit, also the Camaro 350/295 horse engine used it.The 68 intake ends in #803. That came on the 327/250,275,300 and 325 horse engine, and the Camaro 350/296 horse engine. If you're building a 68 car, that's the one you need unless there is a specified acceptible alternate intake manifold.I would hate to put money into parts I couldn't use, or worse, get tossed after erroneously using it.

Thanks for the reply Greg,
I did check The NHRA tech sheets and the 393 intake is acceptable for the 350 4 barrel engine in '68. I am curious if this is a better intake than the 803?

There isn't any difference between the two .
I have ran both of them.

The 67,68,and early 69 intakes were all functionally identical. Only issue is the legality of whichver one you choose. They all were created from the same foundry molds.
