Default HP on Monday?

Looks as though the 2010 CJ gets a instant 2.25% on Monday, How long ya think before these AA cars cant run Stock anymore ?

1 3909 AA/SA Drew Skillman, Greenwood IN, '10 Mustang 9.454 10.60 -1.146
1 3909 AA/SA Drew Skillman, Greenwood IN, '10 Mustang 9.413 10.60 -1.187
1 3909 AA/SA Drew Skillman, Greenwood IN, '10 Mustang 9.408 10.60 -1.192

Only the second race of the year, how is NHRA gonna handle this one ?

You have to go at least 1.20 under to get an instant hit. Looks like it might happen this weekend, but as of right now there is at least one flag on the combo.

Ok well it wont be as soon as Monday, But the trigger is set and there is more than three runs 0.85 under so they will get a 2.25% increase, I guess my point is how much Weight they going to need to put in these cars or what NHRA is going to do to keep them in Stock . : )

Only the fastest qualifying run counts. If they go that fast in the eliminator that could activate the trigger.

the way i have been told ANY run under a second will go into and count as a flagged run, right now if i understand it right, Skillman has 2 hits for the event so far.

Artie is correct. Only final qualifying counts. Skillman only has one flag so far.

From the AHFS:

"Final qualifying, class eliminations, and elimination runs of 1.00 seconds or more, under the index, at NHRA National and LODRS events will trigger an automatic review. (The combination must make at least two runs of 1.00 or quicker before a review is triggered to prevent a "one time fast run" from triggering the system.)"

Anything that raises a flag and is less than 1.20 under will not get horsepower until the mid season adjustment in July.

BTW, the 1.20 under instant hit is the same as 1.50 under before the .3 was taken off for last season. A 1.50 under hit has not been used since the AHFS began years ago.

Was someone trying to protect the new cars or what?

Wasn't the automatic hit at 1.40 before they dropped the .30?

Yes and now it would be the same as if it were 1.50 under.

Who allowed this?
