Here's some video I took of Qualifying at Darlington in 92. Check out the high winding 62 Chevy in the third pair I think.

Thanks for the "memories" That was the race where I redlit in semis to Auston Pusey and I think Terry Taylor did the same to Wayne Dollyhigh. Both Pusey & Dollyhigh were having mechanical issues but Wayne won (R.I.P.) Do you know who that announcer was? Bret Kepner was also there. Thanks again, Doyle |

Bret's the only one I know. I was running super rod class and kicked out two rods on a qualifying run.

The 62 impala was the "Two Ton Honey" I don't remember the owners name, but it ran in SS/J (production) with a stick. I pretty sure the car was a 283, can't remember if it was in the single or multiple 4bbl class. I remember this one due to my brother (David) having a SS/J (production) automatic 58 Chevy wagon with a 283 and they were both in the 3800# + range. I saw Davids Chevy II wagon towards the end of the film. I was not sure what year he sold the 58 and got the Chevy ll. Drag racing was AWESOME back then it was a more laid back atmosphere. You could buy a complete SS car in the 80's and 90's for the cost of a well prepped set of heads, intake, and carb now lol. Don Jackson

Does anyone have any info about the white 55 panel wagon? I have not saw it in over 10 or 15 years. I know it was a 265 powerglide that ran SS/PA or possibly O. Don Jackson
