Does anybody have any recomedations for somebody who does graphics wraps on race cars? Has anybody done this before? Is it safe for paint, if you want to remove it at a later time? I saw when the Ray Allen Chevelle was sold on Barret Jackson it had the graphics recreated from when the car was racing back in the day? Thanks in advance...

Todd, the Wertman/Lynch Challenger has "wrap" graphics. That's not the only one, but the first that came to mind.

Thanks guys for the good info, Do the wraps come off easy if you want to get rid of them down the road? Do they damage fresh paint?

This is Jo-Anne Winzer S/C 148, the dragster with the penquins/artic scene. We also have the Mustang in S/ST that Billy Pires girlfriend Sarah drives that has the desert night/wolf wrap on it. I own Advanced Signs & Graphix by Winzer in Hardyston, NJ. We do complete wraps and partial wraps that also included the tribute car for Darrell Russell that had a Black Carbon fiber design that was run at the Winter Nationals. To answer some of your questions: 1) When the wrap is created there is almost no limitation for design. Adam, the designer, is amazing and his work is top notch 2) All paint and clear coat is allowed to cure before applying any graphics 3) When the wrap is removed it is a process that slowly removes the material and any remaining adhesive. This makes vinyl wraps a much more cost effective alternative to painting because it can be changed with less cost overall. For more information, please call Adam at the shop M-F 9-5 @ 973-764-7000 or 973-823-1700. I will be at Maple Grove for the divisional race, I am a Chaplain with Racers For Christ, and maybe we can talk a bit there. Hope this helps you. Here are a couple of pics of our cars

How much would this process cost. I am looking at a 40ft GN stacker that was reposesed from the original owner and is now for sale by a bank. It has been totally wrapped with the original owners company logos and what not. The trailer is only a couple of years old and shows like a brand new one but I hesitate to pull the trigger on buying it because I am told they can be expensive to remove and its not something just anybody can do. Of course the third party who is selling it for the bank says it will just peel right off and the paint underneath will look brand new since it was wrapped when it was new. Thanks for any advice you can give.
