I wanted to personally thank everyone involved in the awesome weekend my son, a friend and I had at the Nat'l Open at Bowling Green which resulted in our runner-up finish in the Combo Race. The track, staff, and facility was great as usual, ever since I first raced there back in 1970 w/ my original 69 camaro in B/sa accompanied by the infamous Gordon Holloway, it has been my favorite track ! I must thank Billy and Lee at McLeod for getting my clutch setup back to me in record time and it performed flawlessly throughout the race. My transition from automatic to stick < to avoid racing against rocket ships!> would have been much more difficult without the knowledgable help I received from Skooter Anderson, and Red Leblanc friends from the 60's and especially Kevin Helms thanks again guys ! The Phoenix tires Mike Crutchfield sold me did great too! And of course we can't forget Kevin Craddock and Nitro/plate for sponsoring such an exciting addition to an already great race. But most of all I must again express my sincere gratitude to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who has enabled me to enjoy such times as last weekend without Him it would not have been possible ! Let me tell you the story sometime !

Kenny, congratulations. If we hadn't already side lined the green Super Stock car, I'd have made the drive up, I'd like to have watched you march through the field.
Now we'll have to work on the three Camaros and see if we can salvage a season.

Kenny -
I remember you racing a '69 Camaro 427 around 1970 at Carlisle and Memphis. Orange with white stripes, B/SA. When you re-appeared on the scene a little while ago, it was a deja vu moment for me. Congratulations! I guess those days were deposits for a different time, huh? I would love to hear your story! |

Hi kev, sure was good to see u again too, yes I remember our A/SA battles but if my memory serves me correct the reason they seemed so great to you is because you were always the Beater and I the Beaten!!! But it was fun and at least we did have a chance to win, it was usually at the light not like today where the guys don't have a chance if they can't afford to buy one of those OEM Missles Hope 2 c ya soon thanks kenny
