Out of 76 cars in Indy so far, 23 are new 08 or later, about 14 LS1 types and add a couple of late model efi trucks, and we are about 50/50. Don't know who is the Indian and who is the Calvery? But yall know how numbers are.

As a percentage of entries, the CJ/DP cars have a much higher participation than last year at this time...and with Indy just opening for 1 grade point yesterday there are bound to be more of those entering...sort of looks like a cat and mouse game of who will enter. Only 88 stockers entered vs. 146 SS cars as of this morning...very interesting to see how this plays out but ultimately the high number of CJ/DP cars (if the trend continues) will undoubtedly raise the bump and make for entertaining A and AA class runoffs.

Yeah, with them trying to run .84 or less under to keep their average slowed down.

Look at the N.C. race, there are 4 stockers entered, all are new cars. 2 Mopars and the rest Fords.

The Indian is the guy you are chasing, the calvery is the group closing on your *****. Thought by the title of the thread you were talking about weight.

Don't former world champs get in even when the quota is met ? I think that some champs wait till last minute so that all us regular folks can get in , Have i got this correct ? It doesn't matter if the quota is not met, certainly.

Yes, world champs can get in anytime prior to the Monday cutoff. Stock won't make quota this year but there will still be a healthy bump, more than last year even.
