Looks like Cotten's 383" get them? Just great, it already had 35 hp taken off.

Hi Ed, yeah you're right, the 383s have a sweet deal right now but, with the exception of the Bortman wagon thing and the 383/343, the 383s were completely uncompetitive for 42 years, mostly because of the small carb. You either ran a Hemi, a Max or a Six Pak car, not easy for the average racer to afford or put together, and the motor that was the most plentiful and cheap couldn't even be considered. Every dog has it's day and I guess ours has finally come. If these heads turn out to be worth more than 5 HP and I think they will, NHRA wont turn their heads like they did with the new cars, they'll slam us hard.

I think that 60917 might be a misprint. I don't see that number in the Edlebrock site, but 60919 is there and it is a 84 cc bare head which might be right. Course you gotta install the small valves 2.08/1.74 3/8 stem, but I guess you can get the cc's down to 79.5. I think the rule is the heads are allowed, but the valves, chamber etc gotta be right. Travis, I know you read this, how about a clarification here or maybe Tuesday Tech. Also the Eddys have angled plugs, so they might not clear your headers, but the Mopar 452A has straight plug and will fit. The rest of the head is the same, assuming the 60919 is the head intended. Calling Larry Hill----Calling Larry Hill----Soupup the pink car so you won't have time to complain about the new cars. Showtime
