Be careful a lot of scams here in PA , e-mails getting hacked and asking to wire money.
I'd get a phone# and call him direct

Got a good email yesterday.Ive got a old Nova for sale on craigslist, and got a email from a women that said she wanted the car, and would be over right after work to get it .But wanted me to get her a quote on the insurance. She said she was at work and could not use the internet ,and supplied a link to the insurance company.I did not click on it,but im sure if i had it would have asked me a bunch of personel information.I tried to email her back and tell her i was not going to be scammed, but it came back undeliverable!!!

I had a car on Craigslist for sale. Someone e-mailed me that he lived in England and would take the car. He said he would send me a cashiers check for 4K over what I was asking. I should wire him 3K back and he would let me keep the extra 1K for my trouble. I e-mailed him back that when his transport driver showed up with cash in hand, the deal would be completed. I never heard from him again.

Does the e-mail have misspellings. Try contacting him directly. It sounds like e-mail virus. Happened to me, people were calling me up to see if I was OK after supposedly being robbed, even people I haven't spoken to in years called me. Sounds like a scam.

The hotel manager won't let me leave until i settle the hotel bills which is 1,720 Euro or anything you can afford now am freaked out. Please reply back and let me know if you will be able to loan me the cash so that i can give you the necessary details you will need to get the cash to me via western union money transfer, i promise to pay you back as soon as i get home. I don't know the gentleman, however I have traveled abroad quite a bit and if this were to happen to me I would certainly NOT send out an E-mail asking for help. I would contact someone directly, you can go to any police station or the American embassy and make a free phone call to anywhere. After having a identity theft issue once I'm very leary of things like this. Joe

I do know Dave Bishop and reading this e-mail I really don't that this e-mail is from him. Dave is a professional writer who has traveled all over the USA. Dave Bishop, the racing writer, has enough corporate contacts not to need to be contacting someone like this. If you read the e-mail and how things are worded you would also question it. Be careful.
