Anyone using the Impact 1320 helmet that would recommend it or not?
I need to upgrade before I head out this season. I am also looking at the Simpson K10 or Voyager, but I am unsure if they are made in the US or offshore. My Impact belts are the nicest I have ever used, but I have never tried one of their helmets. Any guidance from current users is appreciated. Thanks Chad |

First of all, buy a SNELL "SA" 2010 helmet, avoid the "M" helmets with liner in Nylon that melts and burn...
All cheaper helmets are made outside US. If you want a US made helmet you need to step up a bit in price. Some of the cheaper brands states "made in US", that's BS, their helmets are made over seas and only assembled in US. As far as I know is Simpson the only US brand actually building their helmets buy hand in their TX factory. Quote:

Too many short cuts in the last couple of years, don't want to skimp out on a brain bucket. Both my daughters have Simpson.I ususally buy them off the trailer at national events, great deals and Alan and the girls are great to deal with.

I got an SA2010 Bell Sport at the beginning of last year. It's really nice, so much more comfortable than my old G-Force and not as expensive as a lot of the Simpsons, Impacts, etc.

Thanks for all the input.
I was leaning towards the Impact and this feedback helps me back up what I was thinking. |
