So would this be the fastest/quickest (most under) car during the TT from the morning?

I'm not sure Bo.
Before we ran ladders at NHRA points meets (several years back), they always ran random pairings at the divisional points meets. Someone in the front of the lanes was pulled over to the side and waited to see if there was going to be an odd number of cars. That person got the bye if odd number showed up, Otherwise he ran last car that showed up. That person was randomly selected. This was the same way class runoffs were handled for years, before someone decided to use the ladder.

May be like other classes that have random pairing. They pick a lane and car in whatever position back in that lane. Even if an odd number show up, that doesn't mean everyone will be in the lanes for first round.

So qualifying at the US Nationals has nothing to do with the ladder position and pairing?? It's only to determine the cut off for who gets in???

One year at Gainsville on a rain out. They did random
pairings. They picked a lane and the third car back in that lane. I got lucky it was me, waited till the last car to see if it was a by. Got lucky. Hammer |
