Default 28 x 9 Radial

Are any of the tire guys making a 28 x 9 radial slick? Would anyone else out there buy a set if they were available?

I was looking at a pair of 28 x 9 Hoosiers today. Not sure whether they were radials but they were drag slicks.

Just made a call to the place that had the tires only to find out they are not radials. N/A at this time . Sorry guys. Seems that there is a building interest in that size tire.

What about drag radials? I saw an A/SA car running a pair back east and ran very fast with them

I have also been looking for quite some time for someone to start producing a 28 x 9 radial slick, but at this point I haven't found anyone making them.....I currently run a BFG Drag Radial in a 275/60R-15 which is 28 inches tall and specs a listed tread width of 8.9 inches......handles a lot better for me than any slick did and traction is a non issue for me also...remember it is best to run a radial on the front also for best handling.....

Thumbs up Re: 28 x 9 Radial

I thought the same thing about the weight way back in '05 when the street drag radials came out. I put on the M/T radials anyway and ran the quickest 60 ft by .04 and faster mph with no other changes. This was in a 13.0second car.
