THis isnt the legal NHRA combo, but i finally got it to make 5 10 second passes... in order... 10.946,10.943,10.960(got a tad warmer sitting in burnout box), 10.925,10.927...all at 121.24-121.42 with 1.478-1.483 60fts. This was on a Wed night track, so it was marginal. ALso, with bias tires. Would love to know what it would do, on a NHRA track, same weather, and with Radials.
Here is the link to in car cam... hope it works...if not, type in... Brent Flynn - First 10 second pass in the 'Bird

Good Job! Car runs well.
I think there may be a bit more there with some tranny work, an auto 1-2 shift, and possibly a bit more rear end gear? |

Thanks Alex... It was on a Wed night test and tune, so, the track wasnt spot on, im guessin. I did the front end with global west stuff, and i have Cal tracs on the back with a set of special made springs, that were biased heavily, in the front leafs. It is working great...just need to get out on the Saturday prepped track , to see how it does...

Im thinkin a gear swap to 4.33's...from a 4.11. 4.56's would be too much, for this engine...but, they would work great, with the 400, that im in the process of building. I have a 400 turbo, that was built for a SS'er in the late '90s. Its got the lighter parts in it...but has 2.48 gearset, and weighs alot. I would atleast like a 350 turbo with a 2.75 gearset, and light internals, in the future.
