The headers on my stock eliminator car are one piece. However, I use an extension/reducer that bolts to the flange. Am I required to install a tether?
Any information/insight is appreciated, Robert Strane Stk 2061 |

Good question, I would say yes, seeing you can't have the collector bolted to the pri. pipes with tabs, they have to be stitch welded. You might have to weld the 2 flanges together, making it 1 piece.Give the tech dept. a call.

Now things are getting carried away,
I read that as he has a collector extension bolted to the flange, not the primary tube tabs. Is this the typical street style 3 bolt flange at the end of a collector? |

Can't the bolts on his extensions loosen and fall off like on the primary
tube tabs? ![]() |

Hope you don't need the 36" tethers instead of the 10", 15" or 20" ones.
They are $50.00 more for an extra 32" of stainless 1/8" cable that sells in bulk for less than .50 cents a foot. surprisingly the 10", 15" and 20" all cost the same |

I wonder if it would be legal to use v-band type flanges and clamps at each junction much like boosted cars run on the hot and cold side of their induction/exhaust systems. Surely with a welded v-band flange and clamp on the end of my collector where it goes into the extension, this would not require a tether - or would it?
