Default LIVE from Columbus NHRA JEGS Sportsnationals

Foogy this morning, but it's lifted into a surprisingly sunny day with a bit of a cross-tail breeze that's mitigating the high humidity to a point. Lots of breakage in Stock, still fighting through the ranks... Been down for quite awhile this last time.

Busy morning for me, swapping over fuel and front tires, and had an interview conducted by one of the many groups of kids here from area schools. This particular group was doing a project comparing the costs and sponsorship between drag racing and golf.

LEO's in the house! Good to hear the main man on the mic again.

It's been a pretty slow start this morning, quite a few stockers broke and they're cleaning up an oil down now. The correction was almost 1.08 when I went down, over 3000' with 80% humidity.

On another note, one of the nicest race cars I've ever seen is here, John Stock's new '67 Cobra GT/CA built by PK racecars. I'm sure it will be fast with Patterson Power too! Here are a few pics I took. Make sure to go look at it person if you're here, there are a ton of details that you don't notice in the pics.

Edit: for some reason my phone is only letting me upload 1 pic. I'm going to try to get them all

Just got a pic of it..Was going to post it.

Times 2,, What combo?

It would have to be an original aluminum body.....not fiberglass, right?

Cooter is right, 352 CJ engine. It's got a replacement aluminum body that some company makes now. It's a really cool car.

Is drag race central there? If not please post some stock and super stock qualifying sheets when available.

Summit's Drag Race Central usually provides very marginal coverage of the Jeg's Sportsnationals. I hope they decide to do the right thing and provide better coverage this time.

I think it really looks cool. But I do have a question. Don't you have to have a top on the car? I believe that some cobra's have a optional top?
