ok, 2 weeks ago at the s/ss race my car started to idle very weird. I first noticed it after my burnout. I put it into 1st gear and the car wanted to stall out. I managed to save it but lost the round. Now, I can't get the car to idle or basically run right at all. It seems to idle better (but not right) in Neutral and then when I put it in gear and it wants to die. Very confused, there was no warning or anything.
Any thoughts or a starting point of things to check? Ford 289 with the 4100 Autolite carb. I did check the fuel filter. Thanks, Jamie |

Assuming that you haven't hurt anything, I'd say that you have a vacuum leak or a plugged idle air bleed.
