So I am just curious here what you guys find as acceptable for TS rpm movement. On my SST car 3000lb all steel Nova 540bbc, 750hp, 1050 Pro Systems alky carb (210 jets squared), 180 glide, 4.88s, #1 stop 4100rpm, 9" converter 5500 stall I watch my biondo playback tach and when I am on the stop I notice the rpms drop I assume at shift to about 3900-3950, then will climb up to 4200 before the stop comes off. Am I over thinking this? 60's are within +/- .003 just making sure there are no gremlins to chase. First timer is .050 shift at .100 second timer is 3.20+/-. Also would slotting my blades help correct this at all? Thanks in advance

A bit more RPM would help but if the 60s only move a few thou why change it?

I think more time in the first timer, say .15 - .2. I'd try to get the stop stall to not fall below 4100, ever.
Shift at .5. 60' numbers are good but I'd worry about a big weather change may cause a problem Dan |

My stop has adjustable air valves so it's not instantly on .05 probably not fully on to .100 but I can't be 100% because I have no way to actually time it. If I can't keep the rpm from fluctuating is it primarily a carb issue?
