Default RIP Leo Taugher

I've just read the news that Leo Taugher has passed. Godspeed to an undeniably great announcer and friend to racers everywhere. Thank you for your passion and dedication. You will be missed.

I first started going to the US Nationals as a kid in the late 1980s. I remember his voice well and always enjoyed listening to him announce. May he rest peacefully.

This is too soon for me again....
What a good good man, Leo always made his way around the pits, he always knew what everyone did, and a little something about our families.
He will surely be missed.
Rest in Peace Great Man.

Unhappy Re: RIP Leo Taugher

I am really getting tired of losing people I know well and enjoy being with way before their time.

In many ways, Leo reminded me of Lynne Nickerson - he knew everybody and he really enjoyed announcing class racing. I always enjoyed working a race where either of these fine gentlemen was on the microphone.

Now both are gone, losing their battles with Cancer after a long, hard fight.

RIP Leo, they should have a nice selection of Cadillacs where you are going. And RIP Lynne, we haven't forgotten you.
