Congrats to Charlie Westcott Prostocker

Well it's been a busy couple weeks for us. Almost one year from the day we picked up the red mustang chassis, we have our license. Before today, I had never pulled a chute, let alone pack one. Thanks to jerry haas for showing me. We had an issue with the oil pump seizing after run 2, so we had to fix that and go up for the 3rd run. Without time to properly prepare the car it ran like it. So after that we pulled the clutch, reset it and got up there before they closed the track. And went the 82. Although it's not good enough to win anything, it was a big step in this process. Now I have some data, and some seat time, and some direction. It was a good day. We were short 2 members of our crew, Melissa Crist Westcott , and Judy Westcott , hopefully they will be with us next time.
Another cool thing is Greg Anderson, and Jason Line signed my license, and had some nice words for me. Tim Freeman Helped too.
But the best thing was the last best run we made, was just me and dad, after everyone was gone, we got it done by ourselves. Leaving in the morning headed for home.

Not bad for his first few passes in his car with his own power. I have no doubt he will return running faster. Might take him a bit to catch the guys that have been doing it a while. Good job CW

Brand new engine program,first runs in pro stocker, I say that is great job and good starting point.
