Got to the track at 10 AM got parked at 6 PM That I can live with. But all the Pits normally used by S/SS are now taken by the Pros. Entire north side of track is now Pro pits. The lower area by staging lanes is Alcohol/Comp accept for a few S/SS cars that pitted there because they were friends with the right people. They do not have comp cars.
S/SS pits are at the Very top end of the track on the opposite side of the track to the Scales. Sure like to know how they intend on making this work, Will they stop racing so we can cross the track? Or will we have to drive all the way back past the grandstands, staging and then back up the road course? guess I will find out Friday. I know of at least on racer who told them what he thought and packed up and left. Guess he did not want to take his SS/CM car for a mile drive down the road course to get to staging. And what if you have a heads up with one of the privileged individuals that got to park down in the bowl?

So Bill, the entire tree`d area between the entrance road and the grandstands is Pro only now? There isn`t all that many Pros pre registered, so what is parked in the "old" Pro area? This is getting rediculious. Last year at Seattle, I got there Thursday morning, and Steve Hanby and myself, as well as a few others, were "pitted" to the right of the entrance road, in front of the gravel pit that used to be the free spectator parking. Without warming up the car at all, by the time I drove down to Tech, the water temp was 185, and that was with no spectators blocking the road! Totally un acceptable for race cars without tow vehicles. Luckily I was able to squeeze in between a couple of friends cars, but I had to leave my tow vehicle over 1/2 mile away, in my "pit" spot. Maybe I`m lucky that Stock met it`s quota before I could enter this year!!

"Our" old pits now have Top Fuel Pitted there. They have a ton of room.

WoW, I am overheated already and I decided not to go to Seattle this year. What a mess, I can only image the road course road up to the staging lanes, what a cluster.

not only did the pros take up all the space we even had about 70 or so golf carts and 5 EMPTY tractor/trailer rigs to haul them in parked in what was planned to be s/ss pit areas!! when I asked why that stuff wasn't parked at the end of the track, he just shrugged it off and said its not his problem???? It's pretty obvious that the sportsman racer is no longer welcomed at national events!!! or at least this one! Todd Gale I/SA 6305
