Looking for some advise on what shock to run my car is a stock front frame back half car BBC it's a sst car and I was wondering also what kind of front end travel I should have motor makes around 1,000 HP thanks for any help

Best shock control on that type of car would be a Santuff .
They are infinitely more adjustable than just about any other shock on stock type suspensions. I'd also recommend their front springs, they can hook you up with a spring that will give you the desired ride height without cutting coils while giving the correct spring rate for the weight of the car. You have to maintain adequate travel for consistent traction ,SST cars don't need the instant reaction of a SG car so I usually set them up with about 4" of travel.
