Can a cheetah shifter from a torque flight be used on a t400

just curious if anyone knows if you can change or use a cheetah shifter for a torque-flight on a turbo 400. the reason i'm asking is my father recently bought a precision performance shifter and i was thinking i might use his cheetah both cars have reverse manual valve bodies but i wasn't sure if the cable was the only difference or if the throw made one torque flight specific?

You can buy a new shift gate , and all the levers and hold down brackets that attach to the trans .

So its just the gate and the way it attaches to the trans thats easy enough i'd much rather spend 70 on that stuff than 300-500 on a new shifter.

That's all I had to do. Parts available through Summit or Jegs . Remember that the cable comes out the front of the shifter for a 727, and out the rear for a 400 . The cable length is the same. Turbo Action's website has all the instructions on how to hook it up.

in that case do you just put the gate in backwards and then turn the shifter around? i'll check out there site for instructions thanks for the info.

Turn shifter around? If you're just after changing which direction the cable comes out you can do that easy as well. Have always loved Paul's products...
