How can I determine if the crank trigger pickup is going bad? MSD just gives me the ohm range but I did have a bad one last year and it measured with in the spec. I am seeing the same RPM spike on the Racepak graph but this pickup is only a year old. Just want to be sure the spikes are not just noise.

The pick up is either good or bad. 60-90 ohms resistance. Make sure wires are twisted AWAY from any other wiring. Try wrapping the pickup wires in alum foil to act as a shield see if that makes a difference . Has the pickup been hit or damaged in any way? If so replace it. Buy spare carry it all times. Replace pickup yearly cheap insurance ce. FED :&7
