Default Lifter Rule

The hydrolic lifter being allowed to switch to a solid lifter I was wondering how everyone thought about making all the Stick indexes the same as the Automatic indexes? And no I do not mean combine autos and sticks, just level out qualifying for I don't believe a Stick car has a performance advantage anymore and has not for quite some time so why punish a person for running a Stick in qualifying since that is the only place it will have any effect. Just my 2 cents worth and does not mean I am right or wrong.

Cool Re: Lifter Rule

Watch what you ask for. If the auto trans index got matched to the stick indexes, that could turn into an unpopular concept.

I have not honestly looked at the lower class indexes in for ever, so with that being said what would be wrong with making the upper classes the same as the lower class indexes. I know it will never happen, and if the lower classes are all ready the same then what would be wrong with the upper classes being the same?

Only K,L and T are the same. Some middle class indexes are lower in the auto classes than in the stick classes. Watch what you wish for. If they combine the indexes then the next thing they'll be doing is combining autos and sticks. And with the AHFS and same indexes, why wouldn't they?
