Looking at the Final Rd at Memphis reinforces the objections from the Carb car racers and justifies our concerns.
Since the B/FIA and C/SA cars run on the same index, it looks to me that it solidifies the concern about combining them. Unless NHRA will do something about the HP situation for ALL soft combinations. Or at least get them a little closer. It is plain to see that both of these fine drivers were backing up at the finish to keep from running quicker than 1.15 under, and with the system that is in place now, I don't fault them one bit. Congratulations to both, Mr "Cooter" Hidalgo and Mr Edmond Richardson, for a job well done. I hope that NHRA addresses these concerns before implementing a plan that will cause immense problems in the future. R J Sledege Last edited by RJ Sledge; 09-17-2007 at 12:03 PM. Reason: spelling |

The carb guys can keep up, they just don't want to have to.
