Question Eliminations @ Pomona

2 questions
Why were Stock and SS done qualifying Thursday after only 2 runs?
Why are there no elimination results posted for either at 10:45 am when Stock ran at 8:15 according to the schedule posted? Super Gas is there instead.

I thought that was strange too, but I guess this is how the NHRA sees our future in the nationals. How about Len, would you like to explain?

That's not NHRA's problem-it's DRC's and still no stock at 2:22. Also the audiocast was late coming on. Missed stock.

this also is a 4 day event, and they have ladder,s for both classes after 1 day ,would understand if each class had 100 plus cars but 73 in each, what a farewell to the last event???????????????

I think Pomona is built on an old Indian burial ground - pushed the "Send" button after Stock round 1, then ran upstairs to get the Internet broadcast back on line. Did not immediately notice that the Stock reports did not send (the Internet connection has been up and down all weekend) until around 10:30, spent another half hour or so trying to get either the wireless connection or my sorry AT&T air card to work so I could send Stock Round 1.

Larry,
Thanks for the info. No offense intended. I'm trying to cheer Dan on so I get hyper. He gets a bye into the semi's so I'm really pumped.
Real men of genius, we appreciate all you do.

The problem is that we've gotten so addicted to instant results over the years, we start have withdrawal problems when we don't get them instantly.
