Default Re: ASRA race 1&2 plus championship picnic

It was a great weekend of Stock/Super Stock racing, it had it all. Good racing, 2 days of it and a great banquet at the track pavilion. It was like summertime in May as temps in the high 80's were the norm, with around 50 cars each day.

Saturdays race saw Bill Pomponi beat Bill Pires in the final. It ran a little late as the track had a long oil down and 2 or 3 stoppages for rain sprinkles.

Saturday night was a great banquet event with awards for top 10, race winners, track winners, racer voted awards and points champion.

A well deserved "support person" award went to Ann Bednaz. She is always at the track helping and supporting Todd.

TJ Boucher received the Peter O Moran Sportsman of the year award. As was stated at the banquet, his work as a director is always noticed and appreciated , and he sure does put a lot of time in for the ASRA congrats TJ

Bob Vogel received the best appearing award for his beautiful Malibu. Sharp car for sure.

Our 2020 Champion Todd Bednaz gave a well thought out and gracious speech for his championship award . He was truly appreciative of the award, and all it took to get to this time in his racing career. Congrats to Todd and Anne and all those supporting him.

Sundays race saw Jim Whitehead defeat Chris Butcher.
